Seniors are actively engaged in all aspects of parish life. They’re on the church vestry and in other roles supporting worship, fellowship, education, outreach, pastoral care and stewardship.
Many are regulars at the service of the Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, which is followed by a Bible study. They extend our worship to those who cannot come to the church, as Eucharistic Visitors and through monthly services at local nursing care and assisted living centers.
The Singles Group gathers monthly, typically in homes for a potluck meal and fellowship. This group is especially focused on helping new singles become integrated in church activities.
About once each month, a day trip is organized by the “Chicks and Gents.” The group coordinates travel arrangements and visits places of interest around the state.
Bible study groups, with many senior members, are held at the church following the Tuesday morning worship service and on Friday mornings, in homes. There is also a Bible study group at Rivermont Retirement Community.
