Young Adults
Altered (Episcopal Young Adult Retreat)
Altered is a diocesan ministry that seeks to empower and encourage young adults (18-35) in their spiritual life. It is anchored by the Altered Spring Retreat that centers on peer talks and peer facilitated small groups and activities. Topics include: identity, God’s grace, relationships, church, vocation and purpose.
The Spring Retreat allows you to put your everyday lives on hold, come out to a beautiful setting, and focus on how God’s grace is at work in your life. By grace we are being altered, shaped, and transformed to be God’s people in the world. The Spring Retreat is meant to give you time to take perspective on how you are being Altered by God. Participants are welcome to attend more than one retreat.
The Fall Fellowship Retreat helps encourage and connect the young adult community throughout the diocese. Participants are encouraged to come year after year – though you do not have to attend the Spring Retreat first. This retreat includes community building activities, including elements of St. Crispin’s Ropes Course and other Conference Center amenities. It is a laid back weekend with only light programming to help encourage young adults in their spiritual growth and practice.
